What is conditioned media?
While stem cells are cultured, they release proteins, growth factors, and other repair signals into the medium. After the cells are separated, the liquid left behind is conditioned media. The cosmetic uses what is in that liquid, not the cells themselves.

Why cord-blood cells?
Cord blood is collected across about 40 weeks of a new life. GD11 has studied it since 1994. USC1994®, refined from that conditioned media, contains 1,470 active proteins and is positioned for wrinkles, texture, and tone*.
